What makes CareSource different

  1. Diabetes and Healthy Heart plans charge $0 for related drugs, supplies, screenings and services. Both come in Silver and Gold.

  2. Most plans have an "Adult Vision and Fitness" version for a few dollars more a month. It adds a $250 yearly EyeMed eyewear allowance and an Active&Fit gym membership.

  3. All CareSource plans use the same network, and Teladoc virtual visits are $0 on plans that aren't HSA plans.

  4. CareSource is a certified Georgia Access enrollment partner, so you can enroll through its own website.

Is CareSource a good fit?

A good fit if

  • You manage diabetes or a heart condition
  • You'd use an eyewear allowance or gym membership
  • You don't rely on Emory doctors or hospitals

Think twice if

  • Emory Healthcare lists CareSource Marketplace plans as not accepted.
  • Southeast Georgia Health System, in the Brunswick and St. Marys area, left the CareSource network on February 1, 2026.
  • HDHP Preventive and "Generic Drugs" plans end after 2026. If you have one, check the deductible and copays of the plan you're moved to.
  • CareSource Marketplace plans don't include adult dental.
