Anthem Blue Value Marketplace Plans in Georgia
Blue Value is Anthem's second Georgia Marketplace plan family, sold by a separate Anthem company. Its network grew out of Amerigroup's Medicaid provider network, and Anthem designed it partly for people leaving Medicaid.
- Proposed changes are as filed. Georgia hasn't published final rates yet.

What makes Anthem Blue Value different
Blue Value and Anthem Pathway carry the same Anthem name but use different networks, prices and rate changes. Its proposed 2027 increase is lower than Pathway's.
Each member has an assigned primary care doctor, who sends referrals for most specialist care.
Most plan names include "$0 Virtual PCP $0 Select Drugs". That means $0 virtual primary care visits and $0 for a list of selected medicines.
In 2026 it covered 102 counties, including metro Atlanta, Macon, Columbus, Savannah and much of South Georgia. It wasn't sold in Athens, Augusta, Albany, Rome or the North Georgia mountains.

Is Anthem Blue Value a good fit?
A good fit if
- You're moving off Medicaid coverage
- You want a lower proposed 2027 increase than Anthem Pathway
- You're comfortable with a primary care doctor coordinating referrals
Think twice if
- Some hospitals don't accept Blue Value: Emory lists Emory Hospital Warner Robins and Emory Hospital Perry as not accepting it. Check your hospital by name.
- Most specialist visits need a referral from your primary care doctor.
- It's too new to have a CMS quality rating. The 3-star rating shown for "Anthem" in Georgia belongs to the Pathway company, not Blue Value.

Good to know
Amerigroup's Georgia Medicaid contract is set to end after June 30, 2027. It isn't yet known whether that changes the Blue Value network, so watch for network notices during 2027.
