What makes Ambetter different
Ambetter's 2027 average is 11.4%. Most of its silver and gold plans rose only about 5% to 7%; bronze plans rose more.
Enhanced Diabetes Care Silver has $0 copays for preferred insulin and select medicines, plus $0 test strips, lancets, syringes and A1c labs.
About half of its plans come in a "+ Vision + Adult Dental" version, so you can get eye and adult dental coverage in one plan.
Members can earn up to $500 a year through My Health Pays, which can go toward premiums, copays or deductibles.

Is Ambetter a good fit?
A good fit if
- You want the smallest approved 2027 increase in Alabama
- You manage diabetes and use insulin
- You want adult dental and vision in the same plan
Think twice if
- All plans are EPOs, so care outside the Ambetter network isn't covered except in emergencies.
- Its 2027 rate table has no rates for the Gadsden area. If you live in Etowah County, confirm Ambetter is still offered there.
- CMS scored its medical care 1 of 5 stars for 2026, even though members rated their experience 5 stars.
