What to do for 2027

  1. Open enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027 on HealthCare.gov.

  2. Pick a new plan by December 15 so coverage starts January 1. Later enrollments start February 1 and leave a January gap.

  3. Cigna Connect networks will not carry over. Confirm your doctors and prescriptions on each new plan.

  4. Cigna's myDiabetesCare plans had $0 preferred insulin. Compare insulin and supply costs on BlueCross, Ambetter, Oscar and UnitedHealthcare options.

  5. Your deductible and out-of-pocket totals start over with a new insurer on January 1. If you're in ongoing treatment, such as pregnancy, cancer care or a scheduled surgery, check your doctors' networks before you switch. Cigna dental plans aren't part of the exit. If you have one, confirm that coverage separately.
