What makes Oscar different

  1. Oscar sells plans for diabetes, COPD (Breathe Easy), several chronic conditions (Chronic Care CKM) and menopause. Benefits include $0 condition-related visits and labs on many designs.

  2. Vanderbilt accepts Oscar at major Nashville-area facilities with no product exclusion note, unlike BlueCross Network E and UnitedHealthcare Compass.

  3. For 2026 Oscar added 16 West Tennessee counties, growing from 30 to 46 counties. It still does not sell in Knoxville, Chattanooga or the Tri-Cities.

  4. Oscar's Tennessee EPO materials say you do not need a referral to see an in-network specialist.

Think twice if

  • Oscar filed an average 2027 increase of about 18.7%. Compare prices after tax credits.
  • Methodist Le Bonheur is not named on Oscar's 2026 hospital overview. Confirm Memphis hospitals in the live directory.
