What makes Ambetter different
Vanderbilt lists Ambetter of Tennessee (Commercial Exchange) with no location exclusions, unlike BlueCross Network E and UnitedHealthcare Compass.
That Silver plan includes $0 preferred insulin, related chronic meds, diabetic supplies, A1c labs, and eye and foot exams in 2026 materials.
Members can earn up to $500 a year through My Health Pays, which can go toward premiums, copays or deductibles.
Many Premier plans offer optional adult dental and vision versions alongside the standard medical EPO.

Is Ambetter a good fit?
A good fit if
- You live anywhere in Tennessee and want a statewide EPO
- You manage diabetes and want $0 preferred insulin on a dedicated Silver plan
- You want Vanderbilt in network without a Network E-style exclusion
Think twice if
- All plans are EPOs, so out-of-network care is generally limited to emergencies.
- Do not confuse Marketplace Ambetter of Tennessee with off-exchange Ambetter Health Solutions (Bankers Reserve Life).
- CMS Medical Care scored 2 of 5 stars for 2026 even though member experience scored 5.
