What to do for 2027
Open enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027 on HealthCare.gov.
Pick a new plan by December 15 so coverage starts January 1. Later enrollments start February 1 and leave a January gap.
Cigna Connect networks will not carry over. Confirm your doctors and prescriptions on each new plan.
Blue Cross NC, Ambetter, Oscar, UnitedHealthcare and AmeriHealth Caritas Next filed for 2027. Match your county and hospital system before you choose on price.
Your deductible and out-of-pocket totals start over with a new insurer on January 1. If you're in ongoing treatment, such as pregnancy, cancer care or a scheduled surgery, check your doctors' networks before you switch. Cigna dental plans aren't part of the exit. If you have one, confirm that coverage separately.
